Deputies fatally shoot armed man after woman found dead in Bellflower home
Sheriff’s officials said deputies encountered the armed man during a protective sweep; investigators had not determined whether he fired at them.
Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputies fatally shot an armed man Sunday after entering a Bellflower home where they found a woman dead, ABC7 Los Angeles reported September 27. Deputies responded shortly before 1 p.m. to a medical-emergency call in the 9500 block of Maplewood Street after a neighbor saw the unresponsive woman through a window.
