Dodgers reach 100 wins with extra-inning season finale

Alex Call broke a 10th-inning tie before Andy Pages added a three-run homer, giving Los Angeles a 5–1 victory and a sweep in San Francisco.

The Los Angeles Dodgers finished the regular season with their 100th victory, defeating the San Francisco Giants 5–1 in 10 innings on Sunday, ESPN reported through ABC7 Los Angeles on September 27. Alex Call drove in the go-ahead run with a two-out double, and Andy Pages followed with a three-run home run.

What it means locally

Seven Dodgers pitchers combined for 16 strikeouts as Los Angeles completed a three-game sweep and won its final eight meetings with San Francisco. The Dodgers finished 100–62, including a major-league-best 49–32 record on the road. They will open the National League Division Series at Dodger Stadium on Saturday against the winner of the Philadelphia–Atlanta Wild Card Series.
