Dodgers activate Shohei Ohtani ahead of the postseason

Los Angeles brought Ohtani back from the injured list for Wednesday’s game against San Diego and optioned Josue De Paula to Triple-A.

Major League Baseball’s transaction log confirms that the Dodgers activated Shohei Ohtani from the 15-day injured list on September 23 and optioned Josue De Paula to the Oklahoma City Comets. ESPN reported that Ohtani returned to the lineup against the Padres after dealing with discomfort in his left knee and irritation in his right biceps. He is expected to focus on hitting during the postseason.
