Brian Anthony Williams, 50, was taken into custody without incident at Miss B's Coconut Club, according to the U.S. Marshals Service as reported by the Los Angeles Times. Authorities allege Williams left Iowa after he was charged in connection with a 2012 kidnapping and assault in Davenport.

Arrest: October 6 in Mission Beach

Identity alleged by authorities: Brian Anthony Williams, working locally as “Troy Williams”

Status: Held in California while awaiting extradition proceedings

How investigators located him

The Marshals Service said investigators developed information in September that Williams might be living in San Diego. They connected him to local restaurant and television coverage published under the name Troy Williams before making the arrest.

Williams faces Iowa charges that include first-degree kidnapping, assault and willful injury causing serious injury, conspiracy to commit a felony and first-degree arson, according to the Times. He was also charged with unlawful flight to avoid prosecution. The charges are allegations, and Williams is presumed innocent unless proved guilty in court.
