Two minors wounded in Long Beach shooting

Police found a boy and a girl with gunshot wounds Saturday night on Lemon Avenue; both were hospitalized and are expected to survive.

Long Beach police are investigating a Saturday-night shooting that wounded two minors, CBS News Los Angeles reported September 27. Officers responded to the 1900 block of Lemon Avenue at about 9:13 p.m. after receiving reports of gunfire and found a boy and a girl with gunshot wounds.

Both victims were taken to a hospital and are expected to survive, according to police. Authorities had not released suspect information or a possible motive when the report was published, and no arrest was announced.
