San Diego answers after Milwaukee ties it

Fernando Tatis Jr. brought home the first run on a third-inning groundout, and Manny Machado followed with an RBI single. William Contreras homered for Milwaukee in the fourth, and Jackson Chourio's sacrifice fly tied the game in the fifth.

Cronenworth answered in the bottom half with a first-pitch home run. San Diego added another run in the sixth when Xander Bogaerts scored on a throwing error, giving the bullpen enough room to protect the lead.

King closes it out

With closer Mason Miller on the paternity list, King recorded the final six outs. He allowed one hit and two walks, and a ninth-inning double play started by Bogaerts ended Milwaukee's final threat. The win forced Game 4 and gave San Diego another chance to extend the series.
