Aaron Donald out, Puka Nacua cleared for Rams-Eagles
Donald will miss Sunday’s game with a back injury, while Nacua has no game-status designation after sitting out the previous two weeks.

The Los Angeles Rams ruled out defensive end Aaron Donald for Sunday’s road game against the Philadelphia Eagles and cleared wide receiver Puka Nacua to return, according to the team’s final injury report published October 2. Donald did not practice Wednesday through Friday because of a back injury; Nacua progressed from limited work to a full Friday practice and carries no game-status designation.
What it means locally
Rams coach Sean McVay said Donald was dealing with back soreness and that asking him to play would be irresponsible, while expressing optimism about his recovery. Nacua missed the previous two games with hip soreness after catching five passes for 74 yards in the season opener. The Rams also ruled out tight end Terrance Ferguson and cornerback Jaylen Watson; tight end Colby Parkinson and outside linebacker Josaiah Stewart are questionable. Reuters separately reported Donald’s absence and Nacua’s expected return Friday. The accompanying photograph shows Nacua at Rams training camp in July 2023 and is archival; it does not depict this week’s practices or Sunday’s game.
